Jessie Raymond's humor column, "Around the Bend," has appeared biweekly in the Addison Independent, Middlebury, Vt., since 2002. It is a four-time winner of the New England Newspaper and Press Association's award for Best Humor Column (weeklies) and won the Vermont Press Association’s 2018 award for Best Feature/Humor (weeklies).

Her writing has appeared online, in newspapers and magazines, and in the New York Times bestseller Nesting: It's a Chick Thing. She has taken up playwriting in recent years, and has had several short comedies produced at Middlebury’s Town Hall Theater and elsewhere in New England.

Jessie works as a writer and copy editor at Middlebury College. She and her husband, Mark, are boring but contented empty nesters who live with their pets and a smattering of livestock on an old farmstead in Middlebury. Someday—any day now—she is going to write a Vermont murder mystery.
